October 23,2006

As usual I haven' posted in my blog for several days. I have been so busy with my arts trying to catch up with all of the trades that I signed up for. I also had to put the tag books together with Beths help. We got all of tags made into books and mailed the books out to everyone that had signed up to make the books. I think every one really liked their books. I really did enjoyed hosting this tag book, so much that I am hosting another tag book for Christmas Celebrations. The group that I am in is ATCS and Alter Books. We have so many wonderful artists in our group it is such a pleasure to host a swap. I am in several other groups also. I have been making guilt squares for one group that we will make a book out of our quilt squares. Another group that I am in we are making quilt squares also out of fabric and I plan to make a quilt wall hanger out of those squares when we have finished swapping our squares. This is something new for me and I am not all that good in quilting. I have tried to sew on my machine a sating stitch around cut outs of material and with my old eyes I am afraid I have made something of a mess with outlining the pieces that I attached with satin stiches on my sewing machine.

Nothing new going on at my house. My hubby eye surgery was canceled for last Thursday as the Dr. had an infection that went to his blood stream and was in ICU. They called and set up an appointment for November 2nd for his surgery. I so hated it for him as he has another two weeks to dread the surgery. His son from Oklahoma came to be with him for his surgery and drive us to hospital and see Dr. after his surgery. Robbie is a fine man and not married and he has heart problems and on disable to drive long distant truch driver so they retired him. He is a big help to us.

Beth and I went to the stamp show this past Saturday and really enjoyed seeing all of the goodies that the vendors had. And of course I spent until I was broke. Bought some unmounted stamps, color pencils, chalk and metal paper. We done some take and goes also. Learned how to emboss on metal sheets. I hope I can remember how to do this. May have to wait until Beth and I get together for her to help me remember all of the steps in doing this. We also met Rosemary at the show. It was so wonderful to meet one of our new members in our ATC group in person. We had been in touch with Rosemary through the posting on message board and email but it was so great to meet her in person. She is a sweetie and we are hoping to get together soon with her again. My friend Jane in our group is coming to see me the last of November and I am really looking forward to seeing her. She is in our ATC group also. Rosemary will meet her also and Jill from Alabama will come up and meet Jane also. It is so wonderful to meet your friend for the first time face to face. I wish I could meet all of my friends that I have made through my art groups. Guess I want be able to do that as I cant travel all that much. I have friends all over the U.S. that I have made through my art groups. Jane is the moderator of ATC and it is the first group that I joined when I started my arts. That was 2 years ago when Beth got me into going back to doing my crafts and arts.

My hubby just now got up this morning so I guess I better get off of here and prepare breakfast. I got up around five this morning and been reading all of the blogs. Every ones blogs are so interesting and pictures are great. Rosemary really had an interesting blog on her trip to Europe. My blog is very dull as my life is kind of dull LOL. I guess when you get my age and failing health you have to slow down and your life may become kind of dull. My life may be dull but I try to make it full of happiness and love all of my family and friends. What does people have that doesn't have a family and friends!!! I am so thankful for my wonderful family and friends and enjoy life to the fullness even if my life is dull and boring at times. Just plain old me but happy that I am able to get up every morning and enjoy each day.

I am taking theraphy for my Parkinson and back and balance in walking. I go three times a week and it is really strenghtening my legs and my balance in walking is getting better. Beth and I took my walker with a seat that lets down to the Stamping show and that really helped. I have three more weeks of theraphy to do. I don't get much art work done going three times a week. I plan on continueing my exercises at home even after I finished the theraphy as it is helping me so much.

I will try to continue my story soon as I can and sorry that I havent finished it yet. I dont know if any of you have read it or not but it is a true story and has a surprise for the ending of it.

Got to fix breakfast for my hubby now. See you later.

Glad to hear your physical therapy is helping you get around more securely. No falling down, right. I got diagnosed with Osteoporosis recently and now falling is my big concern. Take care of you.
