Sept.28,2006

I see that my pictures didn't upload. Sorry about that. Nothing new going on in my life just the "same old same old". Oh my, I was tagged by my daughter Beth and I don't know what I am to do. I guess I will just wait until tomorrow night when she takes us to see Ray Price and spends the night with us. I will get her to show me what to do. I am dumb when it comes to blogging LOL. I finished making a Christmas Tin for a swap that I am hosting. It turned real pretty. I also finished putting the eyelets in the shipping tag books covers that I am hosting. I had to make 14 covers back and front as there are 14 gals that signed up for this swap. I have received all of the 14 except 5 gals. With my daughter help we will put the books together and mail each one a book no later than middle of October. Beth is so good in helping me with the swaps that I host and just wanted to let everyone know that she helps in these swaps. She and I work together on all of our art works. We have more fun doing this together. I finished my quilt page for another group and mailed it off also. I have the tin and 2 chunky pages to mail today and I guess I will start on my October arts that are dued in October.

I have been going to physical theraphy 3 times a week for my back and balance in my walking. Boy the theraphist really gives me a work out but at the end she really massage my back and leg. That is the best part of it. So far I think the theraphy is helping me. I have just had 4 sessions. I am so tire when I get back from the workout that I just sit for awhile and go through magazines and sometime nap LOL.

I am really looking forward to going tomorrow night to see Ray Price. He is one of my favorite singer of the older country music stars. I love his voice and I am hoping maybe some of the older stars will show up and surprise him in his concert.

Well I have been up since five this morning just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. So I just got up turned the coffee on and came in here to do some writting in my blog. Guess this is all folks will try to upload pictures of the tin, quilt and golden girls.
Have a good day!!!!

Sunday Sept.24,06

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to post in here. I have been trying to get my quilt pieace ready for one quilt swap and another quilt piece ready for another swap. I also been making ATCS and Chunky Book pages. I am about ready to mail all of these out tomorrow so I thought I would take a break and come in and do some writting.

Nothing exciting has happened in my territory, just a few storms yesterday and down pours of rain. It is cooling off here to some degree. May be in the upper forties next week at night. I spent most of the day this past friday with my husband in two different eye doctors offices. He will not know if he has to have surgery on his eye until October. I am praying that he doesn't have to have it. I haven't been in much of a mood to write on my story. I guess you could say I have writer block. I will get around to writting in it before long.

Do you know 3 months from today will be Christmas Eve!!!! I can't believe how time flies by when you get older. The stores are already putting Christmas out and it isn't even Halloween, can you believe that!!! When I was growing up we never did think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving. We never put our live tree up until Christmas Eve. Now we are decorating the house and setting our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. Time sure does change our customs.

I am a country music fan big time!!! I want to go and see Ray Price Concert next Saturday night.
I am going to Krogers and check to see if there is any tickets left for the Concert. He is an older country singer and sings some of the most beautiful songs. Some of you younger ones may not know him. Beth said she would take me and my husband if there was still tickets left for the show. He was honored in the Country Music of Hall just this month and I figure some of his older buddies like Willie and Mel and some more might show up for the concert. I not only love country music I like some rock and roll, pop, classical. Heres hoping that I will be able to get tickets for this concert.

Guess break time is over as my drawing board is calling me LOL. I am going to try to upload some pics of my work and The Golden Girls(my 2 sisters and me). Keep your fingers cross that I will be able to upload these pics.

Sunday Sept.17

I have been so busy that I haven"t kept my blog up. I just guess I forget about writing in here like I should. I am recovering from my fall real good and most of the bruises are fading away. I havent been doing much for the past week. I went to see my sister that hurt her leg trying to keep from falling. She wasnt able to walk and had to go to the hospital for a few days. She is now in a nursing home for a few weeks to take theraphy for her leg. She is 86 years old and she is a dear. She didnt like it much when they put her in the nursing home. I worked two days on A Funny Book that consists of all of the funny pictures and quotes that I had saved in my computer. I thought she needed some laughs while she was recooperating in the nursing home. She has really enjoyed reading the book. All of the nurses have had a good laugh also from reading it. I really enjoyed making it and done some laughing also in making it.My sister is a dear sister to me. We are very close and we talk every day and when I have problems she is always there for me. We lost our Mom in 1975 and my sister has been like a mom to me. I love her dearly. I also have another sister that is 84 and she is a dear also. Our children calls us "The Golden Girls". We are very close to one another. And of course I am the baby of us three girls. We Golden Girls have a very good time when we are together. Sometimes we do get in heated arguments when we are playing cards or dominos, but that is to be exspeted of sisters. I just pray that we have a lots of more years to be together. We have lived longer than anyone else in our family. I am so thankful for my dear sisters and ask God to take care of them every day.

I did have a wonderful friday and saturday this week. I went to my sweet daughter Beth and spent the night friday. We worked on our arts and had so much fun doing atcs and cards. The next morning it was a beutiful day and we decided that it was too beautiful of a day to stay in and do our arts. I had been confined to the house all week and we decided to go shopping. We went to Michael and of course I spent too much money on Art supplies. Then we went to a little shop Paper Moon that is scrapbooking and art. Would you know I spent more money!! I love stamps and inks and paints. This shop has such neat supplies. We had lunch and then she brought me home and we tried a new technique out which turned out real pretty.
I am so thankful for my sweet daughter Beth. We are not just Mother and Daughter , we are best friends. She is so good to me and my husband and takes care of us. I see her every week and sometimes we work on our arts or we go shopping and also we go to all of the art shows. We went to Jackson, Tn. back in June for over night and art classes that The Tennesse Stampers held. We are going to a stamping show out at the fairgrounds next month. What would I do without my Sweet Daughter Beth???

I must go to bed now and I will try to post some pictures tomorrow night of The Golden Girls " LOL. and also of the Funny Book Cover that I made for my sister.

Quilt Page

I will attempt to upload a picture of the Quilt Page that I done for another goup that I am in. The theme for September was Coffee. Lucky Beth found some material with coffee theme printed on the material. It was a hard theme to work out on a material page. Finally figured out just what I wanted to do. It turned out fair as it wasnt much you could do with cloth and theme Coffee.

Saturday Sept.9,2006

Here it is Saturday. Boy this week went by fast. I didn't get all of the things I wanted to do for this past week. I did get some of my art work done and I am all caught up for the time being. I plan to work on a quilt block for the group that Daisy is hosting. I have ideas on what to make but just don't seem to have it altogether in my mind yet.

I went to lunch this past Thursday with my girlfriend and we shopped until we dropped. Which didn't take us long to dropped as she has MS and me with Parkinson. About all we can take in is about 2 hours. We had a very good lunch in fact couldn't eat it all and asked for a carry out box. I had the remainder for dinner that night while my husband ate left over from the night before. I was so tired that I didn't work in my art that night.

Friday wasn't a good day for me. I had a hard fall friday morning. I do not have good balance with this darn Parkinson and I turned around to sit down and I lost my balance. I fell and landed on my left arm and hip. Thank goodness no bones broken but sure have some big bad bruise on my upper arm. I had to yell for my husband to help me get up off of the floor as I am not able to do it by myself. We finally managed to get me up off of the floor and it wasn't an easy task I grant you. I have no muscle strenght in my legs at all so you can imagine what it was like. I am sore this morning from the fall but feel ok. I did manage to go to the beauty shop after my fall and then went to the store and done some shopping for grocery. I finished up a birthday card for my friend in a group that I am in and also made some paper beads. I had to go to bed earlier than I usually do last night as I was so sore and tired. I was awake at four this morning so I got up and turned the coffee on and here I am. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I hope my daughter Beth is feeling much better today and maybe we can get together this weekend and work on our quilt block. I sure don't want that crud that she has and I haven't been around her and want be around her until she is over it and feeling good again.

Chapter iv; Postmand Always Rings Twice

Just when she thought that they had renewed their love for one another she was so hurt that he was still seeing and talking to his girlfriend. She tried not to let him know that she knew that he was doing this. He could tell that there was something wrong with her as she seem so unhappy. He suggested that they go to Florida for a few days over the Memorial Holidays. She agreed to go thinking it might help their relationship. They arrived in Florida and found a real nice place on the beach. On the way down to Florida he seemed to be his old self again and they had a lot of fun going to Florida. They went to the Dog Races and walked the beach but soon it all began a nightmare for her. He dranked too much and that made her angry and she would just walk the beach without him. He was usually out cold when she would return from her walks. They packed up and left for trip back home. They didnt talk very much on the way back home. The following week she found out that he was seeing his girlfriend and talking to her on the phone.

She was very hurt and had noticed that their love making had stopped again and she decided that it was time for them to have a long talk. That night after dinner she told him that they needed to have a talk about their relationship. She began to tell him that she had been told that he was sitll seeing his girlfriend and said this can not go on like this. He didn't denide that he was seeing her and said that he was sorry but that women was his weakness. She asked him if he still loved her or maybe he loved his girlfriend. He thought about it a long time before answering her and said," Maybe we can just still live in the same house and both of us see other men or women and just not have to answer for what we do or where we go and who we go out with". Boy that is when it hit the fan and she exploded and started crying and told him," You are crazy if you think that I am going to live like that"!! She told him she wanted a divorce now and not to continue with a legal seperation. She knew he didn't love her or he couldn't say anything like that. She got in her car and went to her sons house and told him about it. He was sorry and told her that she was right in asking for a divorce.

The next day she called her lawyer and told him about what was going on and he advised her to start divorce precedure. Her husband agreed to all of the terms of the divorce and was very amiable about it all. He even helped her find a Town House Apartment to live in and made the deposit on it. They were in the process of paying for their home so he rented it out and got an apartment also. Her husband and son helped her move into her apartment. Her apartment was a beautiful townhouse. Two stories with two bedroom upstair and full bath and living room, dinning room and kitchen downstaire with a half bath. It was brand new and so much nicer than their house as their house needed a lot of work done on it and her husband wouldnt turn a hand toward doing the remodeling of the house.

She decided to have a big yard sale before they moved out of their house to get rid of all of the stuff they had collected through the 30 years they had been married. The yard sale went off real well and they made enough money that she bought a new couch and love seat for her apartment. She got both bedroom suits and her dining room table and pie hutch and her stero console. He was left with old couch and chair and dresser and some dishes and cookware and a few linens. She took most of what was left from the yard sale. During the yard sale her regular postman came by and she handed him her change of address cards. He told her he was sorry that it didnt work out for her and her husband. She asked him if he knew the postman that she had a date with before she went back to her husband as she told the postman that she had one date with when he called her at the office to go out to dinner again that she had gone back to her husband. He told her he was gald that they were going to give it another try, but if it didn't work out to let him know. Her regular postman told her he knew him and was a very good man. She told her regular postmand to tell him that it didnt work out for her and her ex. He said he would tell him.

The Saturday that her sona and ex was over to her apartment hooking up her washer and dryer the phone rang and it was the Postman that she had one date with. He told her how sorry he was that it didn't work out for her, but yet he was glad and asked her out for dinner that night. She agreed to have dinner with him. When she got off of the phone her son asked her if he had overheard her conversation and what was going on. She grinned and said," Well I have a dinner date with a nice postman, you have always heard the story Postman Always Rings Twice. Her son grinned and her ex said you are kidding us and she said no I am going out again with him. Her ex said,"You are a fast worker blondie". Her ex even gave her a gift for her new apartment. She knew deep down in her heart that he still had love for her but that he wanted to be free and have his women.

She was all ready for her second date with her postman. He arrived on time and they went out to dinner. He wanted to take her and show her the log house that he was in the process of building when his wife passed away. He told her all about the house. He built all of it except the chimmey and fireplace. It was a 3000 square feet log house. She agreed to go with him. It was out in the "Boom Dock" way out to the end of no where . As they drove up the little dirt driveway it was very dark and she thought to herself What Have I Done, coming out here with a strange man why he could rape me and no one would hear me. AS they turned into the front of the house he told her to sit in the truck while he turned all the lights on in the yard and house. It was a beautiful log house all lit up. He took her on a tour of the house and afterwards they had coffee and cake. He was a perfect gentleman.

When he brought her home he told her he wanted to see more of her as they had such a good time that night. She told him that she also enjoyed the night and that he was a very smart man to build a beautiful log house like that. She told him she would think about seeing him again.

When she went into work the next day around noon a florist came with beautiful silk roses in a container shaped like a treasure chest. Of course it was from the Postman and a note Think Real Hard. She was told by all of the office girls she better latch on to him. What do you think she done?

Labor Day

Today is Labor Day and I have labor all day. I finish making my fall shipping tags today for the swap that I am hosting. I made 28 tags for the book front and back covers. I also made 6 ATCS and stamped images for a swap that I am in. The weather has been beautiful here. It has turned cool here and I turned off the air condition and opened all of my windows to air this stinky house out. I love fresh air flowing through my house. It is really beginning to feel like fall is here. I love the fall season best of all of the seasons. I hope the leaves are pretty this year but I am afraid they want be as we havent had all of that much rain. My hubby and I use to go to the Smokie Mountains outside of Knoxville Tn every fall but we havent been able to do that in over 11 years since our health started going down hill. But I do remember all of the beautiful leaves and the colorful pamarama that we saw while we were there. Memories are one thing that can not be taken away from a person. I have so many good memories. I am writing my memoirs for my children. I am making a surprise for my children for Christmas but I can not tell you about it until after Christmas as my daughter Beth will read this. Sorry Beth!!!

It is 10 P.M. here and hubby just came in to say goodnight. I am not sleepy as I took a short nap in my recliner while the Braves were playing N.Y. Mets. The Braves beat them which made me very happy. I don't have any exciting news for today just the same old same old. I am going to say goodnight and will write the next chapter to Postman Always Rings Twice. You may not be enjoying this story but please remember this is a true story even if it is kinda boring at times.

some mor pics of craft shows

Some more pictures of craft shows

Trying again to post pictures

Well here I go again trying to post some pictures of the craft shows that my hubby and I used to do. Beth told me to get rid of my cookies and try again. Here goes

It didnt upload

Just as I figure I was unable to post my pictures of our crafts and shows. I guess I will have to get Beth to show me how to do this. A message came up about cookies and Javea being unable. I dont know how and what to do about this. Will ask Beth what to do LOL. Well guess I will get me another cup of coffee and see if I can write the Third Chapeter Of Postman Always Rings Twice.

Chapter III

" Oh, what have I done", she said to herself. I have done the very opposit of what I said . I dont want another man to mess up my life again and here I have agreed to go out to dinner with this postman. I wish I had never agree to do this. What will we talk about and how will this date turn out??

I dont know what I will wear or how he will dress and if he is neat and good looking. Well it was friday and she was trying to decide as to what she would wear. She finally chose her lavender dress and black patton leater shoes. She had her hair done at the beauty shop on her lunch hour and they touched up the roots to her blonde hair. Oh yes when she got a divorce she decided to go blonde as she always heard that Blondes Had More Fun. She lost weight and blonde her hair and she started sowing her wild oats as she never had a chance to before her marriage right out of high school. She wonder if this man would like her blonde hair. He was going to pick her up at 7 and sure enough the door bell rang at exactly at seven.

When she opened the door there stood the postman that she had talked to so long at her mail box a year or so ago. She remember talking to him when she was working out in her yard and he stopped and was putting the mail in her box at her house that her and her ex had. She thought he was her regular postman and she wanted to tell him how sorry she was that he lost his wife with cancer. It turned out that this postman was subing for the regular postman. They started talking and come to find out he had also lost his wife a year ago with a massive heart attack. They stood at the curb and he turned his jeep off and talked a long time, in fact her ex hubby came out to see what was going on.

When he saw her he remember also about the conversation they had a year or so ago. She and him both said It is a small world and laugh. That kinda broke the ice between them. He was in a brand new Maza truck. He was well mannered and helped her in the car. One thing she was upset about was he was shorter than her and he dressed out of style. She thought the poor man hadn'th bought any clothes since his wife passed away. His wife must had bought all of his clothes. They had dinner and he talked and talked which was good as she really didnt know what to say. He brought her home and came in and she showed him her children's pictures and grandchildren. He had some picture in his wallet also of his children. He had all boys, one in the Air Force and one in the Army and a evleven year old boy. Soon he said he had to go as he had to be at work early Saturday morning. As he was going out the door he said " I will call you".
She thought to herself that she wouldnt answer if he did call. What a first date for her. She called her girlfriend immediately and said well my date has left and it is only nine o'clock and I am all dressed up so lets you and I go out and kick up our heels. She and her girlfriend went to their favorite clup and danced until the wee hours of the morning with so many nice men. She told her girlfriend all about her date with the postman and said she hope he wouldnt call her again for a date.

She had to work the next morning on saturday and she really felt ruff the next morning from dancing and had a couple of drinks. She told herself Old GAL You ARE Having A Ball I Guess!! This was a different kind of life that she was not use to but it was a lot of fun though. While she was at work her ex came by with her alimony check and he had known about that she was having a date the night before. Of course he had to ask her about her date and she lied and said it was wonderful. He wanted her to come by his house when she got off from work as they needed to talk about something. She agreed of course to come by there as she stilled loved him so much. After all he was her first sweetheart and they had spent all of those years together. When she got off she went by his house. He wanted to take her out for dinner and dancing. She agreed to it. They had dinner and shopped and bought a video and went back to her apartment and watched the video movie with Willie Nelson in it about something road again. It came time for him to leave and he broke down and said he wanted her back if she could forgive him. Of course that was what she had hoped for him to say. He didnt leave and spent the night with her and they were so happy being together again at least for a short time. She gave up her apartment and moved back into their house and he helped her move back. But he sure didnt help her unpack all of her furniture and stuff.

She forgave him and was so happy she thought but it didn' t last long the happiness.
To be continue.

September 2,2006

Another one of those nights!! I woke up this morning around 3 am and couldnt go back to sleep. I finally got up and turned the coffee pot on and here I am drinking coffee and decided I would just get in here and write some. I know I will get sleepy again around five but I have so much to do for today. I need to clean my house UGH. I have gotten so awful about cleaning my house. I hate to clean my house. I much rather do my arts. I guess after fifty years of cleaning your house it soon gets old. I tell myself that no one ever comes to see me and my clean house so why bother to clean it LOL. My house stays fairly clean with just us two. We do keep things picked up and dont scatter things around in the house. My husband smokes a pipe and oh my he makes such a mess with filling his pipes. He scatter tobacco all over the floor when he fills his pipes. Sometimes he will sweep the tobacco up but very few times at that. I guess the most messy room in my house is my art studio and I will straighten it up but in a few hours it is back messy where I have been working on a art project. I try to straighten it up every night before I go to bed but some nights just too tired to do so. Boy this is good coffee!!!

As I once told you that my husband and I used to do craft shows until our health began to fail us and we had to give up doing craft shows. I really miss not doing these shows as we made so many crafter friends and we would always take our RV and camp when we done shows. I have made so many friends in my art groups on the internet and just wish I could meet them in person. I will meet one of my dear art friend Jane in November she is coming to visit Beth and I for several days. I can hardly wait for her visit. I know we will have a fun time. She also has a blog in here also.

I am going to put some old pictures in here of some of our craft shows or at least attempt to do so. You know me I am not up to snuff on this blogging LOL. Here goes some pictures of the crafts I use to do. One summer Beth and I made over 600 shirts and about 300 cloth books for children. Also painted little black people resins. I would get the resins already molded and paint them. They really sold good for awhile until Walmart and other stores started selling them. The stores has really hurt the crafters. We use to do a show over Labor Day at one of our state park here in Tennessee. Now they have stoppped having the show about four years ago. So many of the crafters have stopped doing shows as there is no money in it. You worked your fingers to the bone to get ready for a show and as I said so many of the stores has hurt the crafters with having the same stuff that the crafters has and much cheaper, but not as fine work in the crafts. The bad part about doing a show is unpacking your crafts and packing it up. I always dreaded that job. We had a big 20 foot tent that we had to set up when we done outdoor shows and that was one heck of a job to put that up also. I would work myself to death painting and sewing and then it got where we wasnt making all that good money for the time we spent making our crafts and setting it up and we had to give it up due to that and our health.

I am going to try to post some pictures of our crafts and shows. Hope I can do it. Here goes nothing maybe LOL
